> A bear's muscular structure is highly suited for strength and power. They run at about twice the speed of a human. Their jaws can crush bone to suck the marrow within. Grizzlies can bite through 6” pine trees. If a bear decides you’re a threat, and why wouldn’t he, he’ll probably finish the job. And if he doesn’t, the abscesses, sepsis and rabies will take care of you. And yet. And yet, the ladies of the e-right would rather take their chances with a one of these hulking monsters, than with a random male human, who might mansplain or manspread or tell them to smile, or worse, give them ‘the ick.’ Maybe women are just too woman-brained to conceive of the risk bears pose. But on the other hand, maybe it was never about safety — bears hold frame. You may be disemboweled, but at least a bear won’t trauma-dump on you.
> Libs love “the smell of books.” They could “just get lost” in a good bookstore, provided that it’s run by unimaginative wine aunts. If they walked into one that didn’t have a F&G “banned books” section and a "racial grievances” section and a “My Two Theyddies” section, they would of course blow a fuse. Bookstores suck, and so do bibliophiliacs (front row kids who “read” nothing but erotic fantasy audiobooks and Between the World and Me).
