The X discourse is a massive self report on behalf of the Elite Human Capital. You’re exactly right, it’s an endless parade of complaints about how they can’t loot the US for goodies anymore. My favorite argument was from one woman who suggested that colleges might lose income if they couldn’t apply.
Perhaps their spot can go to a more deserving US student with higher test scores, who was previously discriminated on by race-based admissions practices.
The justifications became over-the-top after awhile, especially around the time the WSJ article was published showing that almost 25% of Harvard MBA graduates were not finding work.
Actually I enjoyed the premise and the reference to NPC, I am afraid it is where we are headed in the long term future unless we can fix our eduction , get businesses to pay Americans American wages and fix our immigration system; greed may be too powerful
While I appreciate your premise, we already use NPC for "non-player characters" to mean the retarded robot Democrat partisans lmao, I feel a second acronym just muddles things
The parallel was too good to pass up for a one-off essay. Don't worry, I'm not trying to midwife it into the lexicon the way many are trying with "Woke Right."
you have made a good point, and it is incredible the extent to which they view this country as an economic zone or something. This is my home. The Pearces have been here for 175 years, which isn't that incredible long, but my mother's side has been here much longer, besides one great grandfather who immigrated from Ireland as a child.
This is my home as well. I can trace my ancestors lineage to the 1600s in Virginia before there was even a place called America. I do think about the hypothetical of another Great Depression a lot, and how that would play out w/regard to migration. Take away the social programs, the endless benefits and entitlements, and your really only left with the folks who truly love this place IMO.
Researching the 1930s and you find that many did leave the USA who didn’t have generational roots here. Moved back to their homelands. Sounds harsh, but another event like that would show better than any legislation or civic test who is invested here as an “American.”
