“You should move to a small town where the rule of law still exists. You will not survive here. You are not a wolf. And this is the land of wolves now.”
prescient. toxic masculinity. feminization of everything protective and stoic.
Years ago author Charles Bowden, who wrote ‘Murder City’ about Juarez, foresaw casual, common brutality heading our way. Indeed it has, thanks to US government policy. Americans are learning what it’s like to live in a predatory society.
I agree. They have had unlimited opportunities to do this in the past two decades with our constant presence within the Persian Gulf region. We would see the Iranian gunboats everytime traversing the Straits of Hormuz, as well as monitoring us while guarding Iraqi oil platforms. It would be a piece of cake for them to attack if they wanted to.
Yep, anyone who paid attention to both movies knew what was coming. We imported the Beast.

The first one was great. Have to check out the second before I read this.
I left out any major spoilers for the 2nd one except an event that happens right at the beginning of the film.

What amuses me is the idea Iran would attack us first. Unprovoked

Thanks. I'm familiar with the author. Will likely wait for him to put it on audible though.
