Good luck - starting to deal with something similar for my dad, who's younger than your parents but in rough shape right now. I'm getting everything set up at home for him, and while I'm still hopeful we can rehab him to be relatively independent, the next few months at least will be quite intense. Thank-you. I was able to get him back home and set up with in-house assistance before I had to come back to California. Putting my mother in a facility due to her dementia was the worst-best option we had. I feel lucky in that he has caring neighbors who are checking on him for me and helping out.
